I’ve officially qualified to run for Satsuma City Council – Place 2, and honestly, that’s not something I ever imagined myself saying. I’ve had countless conversations with people I consider mentors and friends. I’ve spent many late nights reflecting on the advice they gave me, and I started listening beyond the complaints to what people want and need from our city leadership. That’s when I realized that I could make a difference.

With how much I care about this town and its future, standing by and doing nothing just isn’t an option anymore.

I’m a husband, a dad, a son, and a neighbor. I’m not a politician, but someone who believes in the power of good policy and strong order. Local government, to me, should feel more like a front porch than a locked office.

We need real conversations, not closed doors. Honest disagreement, not discontent. When we listen with respect, even tough conversations can lead to real progress. Above all, we need action that actually helps.

Here’s what I believe matters most:

• Safety – Prioritizing strong public services, well-maintained roads, and safe neighborhoods where families can thrive.

• Growth – Supporting local businesses, encouraging thoughtful development, and planning smart so we protect what makes Satsuma unique.

• Trust – Leading with transparency, showing up consistently, and staying connected to the people I represent, not just during campaign season, but always.

When things are clear, consistent, and fair, communities thrive. That’s the kind of foundation I want to help strengthen here in Satsuma.

I ask you to step with me as we move Satsuma forward.

Thank you!

– Jake
